Show Excerpt: John Cleese Commercial
JOHN CLEESE: Ah yes, hallo, good evening, and welcome to this, my advertisement. I am the author of two best-selling self-help books, Families and How to Survive Them, and Life and How To Survive It. They are transcriptions of audio-recorded interviews with my doctor, but both of these books deal with a sort of universal pain. Pain which is clearly dealt with in my newest book, Teeth and How to Fill Them. Although, to be fair, my collaborator, Dr. Ian Lietch, contributes the bulk of the narrative, whilst I myself contribute largely monosyllabic grunts. Admittedly, it’s a book which is shortish, but that’s dealt with in my newer newest book, Audio Recorder Batteries and How To Change Them. Although for a perhaps more direct point of view, readers should be directed to my newest newer newest book, Audio Recorder Batteries and How To Unjam Them With A Kitchen Knife. Admittedly, this one’s not for everybody. A wider scope may be had with my newer newest newer newest book, How To influence Sound Equipment Store Clerks With A Kitchen Knife, and its follow-up, Indictable Evidence and How To Burn It. A book which I reckon ought to go down very well in American courthouses. Oh, and do read my newer newest newer newest newer newest book, Overexposed Legal Trials Of The Mid-1990s and How To Refer To Them Awkwardly. Good night!
